Spring color palette

With "Winter" being so good, I'm really getting into Spring happines and this outfit is the perfect embodiment of my color palette for this season. I love the pastels and clean white looks, and of course, my favorite black and white combo's. What are your favorite colors for this Spring?

Eloquii Spring 2014

By now, the news of Eloquii's return has already reached you, and what a comeback it is! The line launched in 2011 as part

of "The Limited" but was shut down in early 2013 as a result of corporate restructuring. But then.... People demanded the brand

back, and yay, they listened! So back by popular demand, and stronger than ever, Eloquii is now an independent brand,

ready to serve our fashion needs! The line will offer new products in (US) sizes 14-24 with limited availability every two to three weeks, 

including outerwear and accessories. Prices will vary from $18 - $198. The line has been available since yesterday, exclusively via ELOQUII.com

Marks & Spencer returns to the Netherlands!

I had the honor of being invited to Marks & Spencer's special preview event yesterday. This afternoon, 20 February 2014,

12.00 sharp, the new flagship store will be officially opened for the public by Marks & Spencer CEO Marc Bolland,

together with the British ambassador, Sir Geoffrey Adams (sounds kinda fancy eh?).

After "leaving" the Netherlands in 2001 they returned in April 2013 with an online store and several food markets and are

 now back with their own flagshipstore. Plans are to open a second store in Amsterdam in 2016.

The new store, located in "De Markies" building, contains three storees filled with clothes, shoes, accessories, lingerie,

a Food Hall AND the M&S Café. Read on for more pictures!

Dorothy Perkins SS14

Yes! More Spring goodness! When I got this lookbook in my mailbox, I was beyond excited! Although Dorothy Perkins

caters to all women sizes 4-22 (UK), it is not considered a plus size brand, and I know some of you would like to see them

extend their size range. Nevertheless, I like the example they are setting by making one range and extending it to plus sizes

instead of making a separate plus size line. Because I think that's "our" main goal here, having size diversity and stores that

are extending their size ranges.

Post "V-Day"

Time for an outfit post again! Today's weather was so lovely, as you can see in the photos, lots of sunshine and a clear blue sky. I know the US is having a hard time in dealing with snow storms and awful winter cold, and for some reason, winter decided to stay away from the Netherlands this time. With average temparatures of 7 °C - 12 °C (44 °F - 54°F), I'm not complaining!

I did not post a Valentine's Day outfit, but let's just say, this outfit was kinda inspired by it. Red, roses and my new favorite shoes!

"Springspiration"!

Even though it's still winter, I've already been shopping for spring. Ooh, can't wait for it to begin! 'Tis the season for sandals, flowy skirts without tights and sheer blouses... Yes, I'm a Spring/Summer kinda girl. But you already knew that right? This Spring, we will be seeing a lot of monochromatic black and white (my fave!) but also sweet candy colored pastels like pink, mint and babyblue. Just a little "springspiration" for you:

I am soooo over winter!! And what better way to cheer up this cold mood than looking at great pieces for seasons to come?
